Jonathan Colbert is an executive with a passion for leveraging technology to build powerful relationships between people and brands. Currently, he is focused on the decarbonization of fleets by way of scaling Voltera’s electric vehicle charging solutions. His team will support Voltera’s go to market strategy and is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of all marketing efforts.

Previously Jonathan spent time at Rivian as the Director of the Rivian Waypoints Network. While in this role, he was responsible for the go-to-market strategy and planned deployment of over 10,000 charging stations supporting key initiatives like the Transamerica Trail Drive with MotorTrend and in places like Yosemite National Park. This charging network is open to all electric vehicles and will be available at places where people play, sleep, eat, shop, live, and work.

Prior to Rivian, Jonathan was one of the founding members of the Mercedes-Benz USA CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared + Services, Electric) Team as the Charging and Infrastructure Lead for North America. He was responsible for the ramp-up of electric vehicle charging infrastructure at Mercedes-Benz dealerships and Daimler facilities, along with customer-focused charging mobility services and home installation services.

Before pivoting to business development, Jonathan managed national marketing campaigns for Mercedes-Benz volume vehicles, smart cars, and E-mobility. Prior to Mercedes-Benz USA, Jonathan was a Director of marketing at Techtronic Industries, N.A. where he drove all integrated brand marketing efforts for RIDGID® Power Tools, HART™ Hand Tools, and Arctic Cove™.

Jonathan is an identical twin and the product of a tight-knit military family. Among various childhood moves, Jonathan claims Florida as home – where he attended both high school in Pensacola and college at Florida State University. He also earned an MBA with a specialization in the Management of Technology at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business in Atlanta, GA. Jonathan currently lives in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida with his wife, daughter, and boxer dog; he is curious by nature and driven to explore. He enjoys exercising, cooking, trying new cuisine, traveling, scuba diving and occasionally all of these things in one vacation.

"Supporting fleet electrification through charging and infrastructure solutions is one of the biggest challenges we'll face in our generation. The only way we'll be able to bridge the gap between these challenges and customers' needs is with a multi-faceted team of innovators. I’m extremely excited to help build and support that team."
