Howard Lance has a distinguished career serving public and private technology and industrial companies as Chief Executive Officer, Board Chair,Board Member and Advisor and brings that experience to Voltera as Board Chair. He is also Board Chair at Reworld, the leading waste-to-energy and sustainable materials company, Board Chair at Heritage Environmental Services, a leading hazardous materials management company, and Board Member of Mercury Systems, a leading defense electronics systems supplier.

Mr. Lance previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Maxar Technologies, a leading provider of space technology solutions, Executive Advisor- Private Equity at the Blackstone Group, Board Chair, President, and Chief ExecutiveOfficer of Harris Corporation, a leading global provider of defense and commercial communications solutions. Prior roles included Co-President of NCR Corporation and Chief Operating Officer of its Retail and Financial Group, Executive VicePresident of the Electronics and Telecom segment at Emerson Electric Company, and Chief Executive Officer of its Astec PLC listed subsidiary based in Hong Kong.

Mr. Lance earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at Bradley University and his Master of Science degree in Management at the Daniels School of Business at Purdue University.
